My mama taught me manners. (Sometimes I forget them.)

That Thumper. So full of wisdom.

I posted a chapter tonight, the first one I have posted since before Thanksgiving, and subsequently received a couple of flaming reviews about my inconsistent updating.  So let's address this, shall we?  Please note: the majority of this post is directed toward the individual(s) who isn't (aren't) ballsy enough to sign their flaming reviews.

Exhibit "A":

I'll address this one first.  I gave a warning about the cliffie and this is the reason.  I am very aware that it takes me a while to update.  It has nothing to do with being a "review whore".  If you read the author's notes (which obviously you did not), you would see that I do not beg for reviews. I love and appreciate every one, even the critical ones, but I don't beg for anything nor will I whore myself out for anything.  And yes, there will be an update next Tuesday.  Maybe even before that because now you've just pissed me off and fueled my fire.

Exhibit "B":

First of all, I will not "just stop".  No one is forcing you to read my stories.  You can take me or my stories off alert.  That way you won't be bothered by the updates.

Second, When I See You Smile is not on hiatus.  No, I have not marked it as "complete" but the author's note (once again, if you had read it) clearly states "This is the last regular chapter" and goes on to say that I plan on writing an epilogue but have no idea when it will be posted.

I know this topic has been addressed a million times already, but I want to touch on it once more.  Fanfiction authors do this in their spare time.  No one is paid to do it.  I'm not going to lay out my entire life story but I have a full-time job, a four-year-old and a husband.  My parents are older and their health is not the greatest.  I spend a lot of time taking care of my family because, at the end of the day, they are all that matters.

I am not someone who can sit down and the words just flow from my hands.  I wish I had that talent but I do not.  I have to be calm, in the right frame of mind and focused.

For all of you that have been so supportive of this story, you have no idea how much I appreciate your love and support.  Reviews still give me the same thrill as they did when I first received one, but rest assured that I do not sit behind my computer and salivate over them. That's a little creepy.

For my anonymous reviewer, well, all I can say is Bless Your Heart.

Dandelion Chapter 14 teaser

Chapter 14 has just been sent to my pre-reader, so I hope to have it up in the next few days.  In the meantime, here's a teaser.  There is also another one posted on The Fictionators Teaser Monday here.  AAAAAND, Dandelion was a Team Wussperv pick over at the Perv Pack's Smut Shack and I'm ridiculously excited and honored.  You can find their review here.  Onward with a tease:

“How is the handsome new beau anyway?  You two have kept our little gossip mill busy, busy lately.”  She smirked behind the rim of her coffee cup as she brought it to her lips.
Leave it to her to mention Edward and cheer me up when my mood is in the pits.
“He’s wonderful,” I gushed quietly. “Truly, truly wonderful.”  It was hard to contain the smile that spread across my face at the mention of him, even in this crappy situation I was dealing with.
“That’s great to hear.  You deserve someone who is good to you and that little boy.”  She sat the cup down and her expression grew serious.  “Bella, I do want to say something about Brandon.”  I nodded for her to continue, my stomach uneasy at her tone.
“I know you were trying to give your sister all the chances in the world and I would be lying if I said it’s not my job to try to place the children back with their biological parents.  However, I think in Brandon’s case, if Alice disappears again, you should really consider making his situation with you permanent.  It wouldn’t take much to have her rights terminated.”

See you guys soon!  XOXOXO

Teaser for Chapter 13

I was standing off to the side, watching the crowd mingle and fawn over the herd of kids, when I felt the warmth of strong arms wrapping around my waist from behind.

"Looks like a success," he observed. His mouth was dangerously close to my ear and the timber of his voice sent shivers down my spine. "So what about those earlier promises?" he asked.

"Oh, Mr. Cullen, you'll have to wait until much later. Look at this mess I have to clean up," I said as I gestured toward the balled up wrapping paper and plate-covered tables. I turned in his arms and laid my head on his chest as the exhaustion settled in.

"Would it happen any faster if I helped you clean up?" Looking up, I couldn't help but laugh at the grin on his face.

"Maybe. How about you let me see your cleaning skills and I'll see how quick I can get Brandon into bed tonight?" I backed out of his arms and started to sashay away, but turned at the last minute.

"Then later, I could go for a foot massage. It is my birthday, after all. You're supposed to take care of me," I said playfully.

He walked over to where I stood, grabbed my hand and brought it up to his mouth. He placed a kiss on the inside of my wrist and whispered, "Oh, Miss Swan, I intend to do just that."

Welcome....

I really have no idea what I'm doing here, but we'll see how this goes. I don't know how to navigate blogger yet, so bear with me if I do something stupid.  I have every intention on posting chapters here as well as on fanfiction.net, along with teasers and such.  Maybe even different teasers than what goes up on Fictionators or Pictease. Who knows?  Anyhoo, thanks to all of you who are supporting me and my stories.  <3
